There are many different national and foreign banks within Beijing which allow foreigners to open accounts. Most Beijing branches are open from 9:00 to 17:00 Monday through Friday with some locations open on Saturday and Sunday. All banks are closed on New Year’s Day, National Day and the first three days of the Chinese New Year (as well as reduced hours for the remaining eleven days of the holiday.)
